PSL6 Karachi Kings reached the playoffs

Karachi Kings beat Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL) to qualify for playoffs

In the 29th match of the league played in Abu Dhabi, Karachi Kings won the toss against Gladiators and decided to bat first which proved to be correct.

Batting responsibly, openers Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan gave their team a good start and put on a 71-run partnership.

The partnership ended when Babar became Abdul Nasser's wicket after scoring 23 runs.

The Karachi Kings team had not yet recovered from the loss when Martin Guptill returned to the pavilion after scoring five runs.

Najibullah Zadran had shown dangerous intentions by hitting six to Arish Ali and his innings also came to an end in an attempt to play a cut on the next ball.

Emad Wasim also managed to score only three runs and became the fourth wicket in Arish Khan's match.

Karachi Kings had lost five wickets for 121 runs and it seemed that the team could not score even 150 runs but Danish Aziz showed excellent batting and mixed the Gladiators in the dust.

The young batsman played a brilliant innings of 45 off just 13 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 2 fours and scored 33 runs in an over by Jack Wildermeth.

Karachi Kings scored 176 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted overs, Chadwick Walton scored 34 runs.

For Gladiators, Arish Ali Khan was the most successful bowler with four wickets.

In pursuit of the target, the Gladiators' openers gave the team a 32-run lead but failed to score as fast as required.

Saeem Ayub was the first player to be dismissed who returned to the pavilion after scoring 19 runs.

When the score reached 48, Jack Weatherland also made 25 runs while Usman Khan and Azam Khan also returned to the pavilion with only 15 and 15 runs respectively.

After losing four wickets for 91 runs, Sarfraz Ahmed was joined by Hassan Khan and the two formed a 32-run partnership but at this stage the young batsman who scored 24 runs was unfortunately run out, he bowled 15 balls. Scored 24 runs.

In the closing overs, Sarfraz Ahmed tried to take his team to the brink of victory with aggressive batting but due to increasing run rate, his attempt failed and Karachi Kings won the match by 14 runs.

Quetta Gladiators scored 162 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted overs, Sarfraz played an unbeaten innings of 51 runs.
