Mohammad Wasim, a young fast bowler from North Waziristan, said in an exclusive interview that he used to play cricket with tapeball in Waziristan. And watched PSL and other matches on TV, then played in Peshawar, then represented FATA in the district and region where he toured Sri Lanka with the Under-19 team based on good performance.


He said that he got a name in the World Cup held in South Africa and made his debut in the first class this year and was selected in the PSL due to his performance.


Regarding access to major platforms like PSL from Waziristan, he said that my father did not allow him to play cricket. But my uncle helped a lot and a friend in Peshawar said that talent is to go to the club and he helped a lot.


Muhammad Wasim while briefing about the sports situation in Waziristan said that the situation there is very difficult. There is no ground, I came to Peshawar and joined the academy and it would have been very difficult for a young player but I worked hard and reached this place.


Regarding Islamabad United, he said, "United is great and I am learning where Raman Raees, Saeed Ajmal and head coach Johan Botha are, with whom I am enjoying playing."


"There was a bit of pressure but I tried to be happy," he said of the team's first win of the season and the best performance in the match.


It may be recalled that Muhammad Wasim made his PSL debut in the match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans on February 21 and took 3 wickets in his first match.


Islamabad United showed great batting and achieved great success by crossing the biggest target of the event given by Karachi Kings. However, Muhammad Wasim could not get a wicket.
