Pakistani Actor Saud Qasmi has revealed that Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Australian Cricketer Usman Khawaja are his relatives

Former popular hero, actor and TV host Saud Qasmi has revealed that Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja are his relatives.

The actor recently appeared on the 'Nadir Ali Podcast', where he opened up for the first time and revealed that his entire family follows religious teachings.

The actor said that his father Maulana Qari Zahir Qasmi was the person who recited the Holy Quran on the radio before the declaration of Pakistan on 14 August 1947. After which, for the first time, Radio Pakistan was announced on the radio and at the same time it was told that now a new country has been formed.

The actor said that his entire family follows religious teachings while his elder brother is also a reciter who is currently living in America.

Saud said that his family still prays to him for acting instead of reciting naat-khwani, that God will grant you success.

Speaking further in the program, Saud Qasmi revealed that Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is his distant relative. He said that his cousin who lives in India is married to Nawazuddin Siddiqui's sister.

He further revealed that Usman Khawaja, a cricketer playing in the Australian cricket team, is also his relative and both played cricket together in childhood.

When asked about marriage, he replied that his marriage with actress Javeria was an arranged marriage, there was no love between them before. He further said that he had sent people four times to Javeria's house for marriage proposal.

According to him, the late Amjad Sabri, actors Rainbow, Shaan and then Sindh caretaker minister Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz were among the people who went to talk about his marriage proposal.

Talking about showbiz, he said that possibly there will be a second season of 'Baby Baaji', but he has no knowledge about it.

Saud said that it is his personal opinion that there should be a second season of 'Baby Baaji', as the ending of the drama was incomplete.

'Baby Baaji' drama was aired on ARY Digital a few months ago, starring him along with his wife Javeria Saud, while Sunita Marshall and her husband Hassan Ahmed were also part of the cast.
