National cricket team captain Babar Azam has overtaken Indian test captain Virat Kohli in the ICC rankings of all three formats.

Dubai: In the new International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings, national cricket captain Babar Azam has surpassed Indian test captain Virat Kohli.

According to the ICC rankings, captain Babar Azam moved up one place to eighth position while Indian test captain Virat Kohli slipped two places to ninth position.

In the ODI and T20 rankings, Babar Azam has already surpassed Virat Kohli. Babar Azam is in the first position in both the formats of white ball.

Virat Kohli is in second position in ODIs while he is not even in the top ten in T20.

Australia's Marnus Labuschagne is the world's number one batsman, England's Jorot is second and Ken Williamson is third in the top ten.

Mohammad Rizwan is 17th and Fawad Alam is 18th in the rankings. Abid Ali is 20th, Azhar Ali is 24th and Asad Shafiq is 42nd.

It should be noted that no batsman has been in the top position in all the three formats of international cricket at the same time and now Babar Azam has a golden opportunity to claim this award.
