Apple Release macOS Monterey Beta 6 to developers

On Monday evening Apple surprisingly made Beta 6 of macOS Monterey available for download for registered developers. The upcoming update for the Mac is well behind schedule and shouldn't appear at the same time as iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, but it will bring some of their new features to the Mac.

Apple made the 6 beta of macOS 12 Monterey available for download for registered developers tonight. This new beta follows roughly three weeks after the distribution of the previous test version of the upcoming update for the Mac.

To install the sixth beta of macOS Monterey, the download must be initiated as usual in the system settings in the software update area.

macOS Monterey will appear a little later than iOS 15

Apple already has the 7 beta of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 ready for registered developers, and watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 are also further ahead. So it is to be expected that macOS Monterey will be available to the public a little later than the rest of the updates.

With macOS Monterey, Apple brings the new Focus feature to the Mac. Safari is also getting a new design, which has caused a lot of debate among users in the past few weeks. The Shortcuts app will also be brought to the Mac.
